Apparently God Created Pre-Calc too

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you
Matthew 6:33

I find it funny that I'm writing about math, because it's actually my least favorite subject. But school has started, and I didn't want to be behind, so I paid attention. Here's what I learned from my first day of school.
First lets talk about what our teacher showed us. We were talking about infinities and limits. He writes this equation on the board.

Well, can you divide infinity?

As the number you plug in for x gets bigger, so the y variable also gets bigger. So what happens when you plug in the biggest number?
You also get the biggest number. But what if we do the reciprocal?

How does this change our answer?
Similar number line, but this time the bigger our number we plug in, the closer we get to zero.
So now when we plug in infinity, we get nothing. You get it? If not, go back to the beginning and try again. If you do get it though, prepare to have your mind blown. Now follow me, God is infinite, yes? If you put God at the top of your life, if He is above anything else, you get endless possibilities in your life.
But what if you put God at the bottom? Even if He is second in your priority list, you still end up with a empty life.

Oh and don't forget to show your work :)

God speaks to us, even through math class.

Healthy Literature Evangelism

"I like to eat a lot of steak, um, and you know meat."
Standing in the doorway was a big man, and he wasn't very interested in my cookbook.
Well this book doesn't seem very right for you, I thought to myself.
I told him about how the Naturally Gourmet was really health oriented, but didn't bother to mention that it was a vegetarian cookbook
"Yeah, I'm not really into health," the big man said.
Oh great, it's time to show him another book.
He flipped the cookbook, perhaps thinking for the last time, and turns to the page entitled Trusting in God.
"Wait, why is this cookbook talking about trusting in God?" he was extremely puzzled.
"Oh it just goes a little bit into why God values our health," I answered, "Are you Christian?"
"Yeah I am," he replied.
I could tell his mind was exploding with the idea of God actually caring about how healthy we are. We talked a little more as he flipped more and more in the cookbook
"Yeah we also have this short one. It's a great devotional that helps you get to know God better as a friend, and it's a really good one to read with your wife too," I told him as I put the Peace Above the Storm in his hands.
"I definitely want this one," he said as he took both books.

Always Rejoicing

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden,
And I will give you rest
For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies"
Says the Lord God
As the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us
With groanings which cannot be uttered
That I no longer should live the rest of my life in the flesh for the lusts of men
Because I overcame sin by the blood of the Lamb
Thus turning for me my mourning into dancing
And putting off my sackcloth
And clothing me with gladness
So I will rejoice in the Lord always
And again I say rejoice.
